Editorial Policy

How we research, write, rate, disclose and update our casino content.

Last reviewed: June 2026

Our Editorial Mission

The job of this site is to make payment rules, responsible-gambling details, bonus rules and operator terms plain enough to judge before an adult reader goes anywhere near an operator. Casino Stars Review publishes independent assessments: we are not a casino, we take no bets or deposits, and we do not present gambling as a way to make money.

What Our Content Covers

Across the site, our content spans: online casino reviews, player-safety articles, casino comparison pages, game-category guides, bonus and promotion guides, payment-method explainers, responsible-gambling resources.

What We Look At in a Review

Our reviews break a casino down into practical areas instead of leaning on a single figure:

Review areaWhat we check
BonusesWagering, max bet, expiry, game contribution, withdrawal caps
PaymentsWays to deposit and withdraw, plus limits, fees and currency options
License & operatorCompany name, license information, footer details, terms page
Responsible gamblingSafer-play tools: deposit and loss limits, cool-off and self-exclusion
SupportSupport channels — chat, email, FAQ — and how clear the answers are
RegistrationHow registration works, account rules and which countries are blocked
GamesRange of slots, live, tables and instant-win titles, and the studios behind them
KYCVerification requirements, documents, account checks
TransparencyTerms, privacy policy, bonus rules, restricted countries
Mobile usabilityMobile layout, cashier access, navigation, game loading

Doing well in one area doesn't make a brand suitable for everyone; weigh each area against your own needs before playing.

What We Personally Check

What we verify varies by brand: typically the mobile layout, FAQ pages, the operator's public pages, the payments page, bonus terms and the responsible-gambling page. When we haven't made a real-money deposit or withdrawal ourselves, we state that plainly in the review rather than imply hands-on testing we didn't do.

Where Our Information Comes From

Our research draws on information operators publish themselves — licensing notes, the operator's own site, responsible-gambling pages, the bonus terms, FAQ and support information, the payments page — together with our own editorial notes. Because casino terms change often, always confirm the current terms on the operator's own website before registering or depositing.

Our Rating Scale Explained

We translate those review areas into a single editorial score out of 5:

ScoreMeaning
4.5 – 5.0Excellent — transparent and fair to the player
4.0 – 4.4Very good — minor limitations
3.5 – 3.9Good — but players should check certain terms carefully
3.0 – 3.4Average — noticeable restrictions apply
Below 3.0Poor — unclear or unfavourable for players

Scores are guidance, not endorsements. Before playing anywhere, weigh your own limits, the payment terms, bonus terms and the law where you live.

Affiliate Disclosure & Independence

Some links on this site are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if a reader visits a third-party operator through one of them and completes a qualifying action, at no extra cost to the reader. Such relationships can shape which brands appear and where — what they never shape is how we describe the terms of an offer. Ratings, scores and favourable reviews cannot be bought — by any operator.

Bonuses and Promotions

Casino bonuses are not free money. Promotions usually carry conditions — max-bet rules, withdrawal caps, time limits, playthrough requirements, game restrictions. When we write about an offer, we try to explain the conditions that actually matter and avoid presenting a bonus as guaranteed value. A large advertised bonus does not automatically mean a better offer.

Legal Information & Your Responsibility

Online gambling laws differ by country, state and province, and nothing on this site is legal advice. What is permitted in one region may be banned in another. It is your responsibility to confirm that online gambling is legal where you live before you register, deposit or play anywhere.

Claims You Won't See Here

We avoid any language that promises easy or guaranteed results, frames gambling as risk-free, or treats it as a way to earn a wage. Phrases you will not see us use include:

Our Responsible-Gambling Standards

Nothing we publish presents gambling as a sure win, a solution to money problems or a reliable income source. Where it fits, we insert responsible-gambling reminders and direct readers to support; players must be of legal age (19+ in Canada) and follow the law where they live. For safer-play advice and support services, see our Responsible Gambling page.

What We Do With Unverified Claims

Some operator details — most often licensing — cannot always be independently verified from public sources. Rather than present such a claim as fact, we mark it unverified. We point you to the operator's own published information for the current version.

Why You Won't Find Betting Systems Here

The house edge is baked into every casino game — they are games of chance. No system rewrites that arithmetic, which is why betting systems and “guaranteed win” guides never appear here. Treat pages that promise them as a warning sign.

Corrections & Updates

We try to keep bonus, payment and licensing information accurate, but operators rewrite their terms without warning — any page can drift out of date. When we identify outdated or incorrect information, we rework, clarify or remove it. Factual errors can be reported to [email protected]; include the page URL, the detail in question and a source we can check against. A commercial request to "raise a rating" is not a correction and will not be treated as one.

How We Use AI and Technology

We may use technology and AI-assisted tools to help with structuring research from brand data, translations, formatting, content planning, quality checks, drafting, copy-editing. They speed up the work — but they do not make up facts about an operator and do not set ratings by themselves. Editorial responsibility stays with our team, and content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy and responsible-gambling standards. Reported inaccuracies get corrected.

About Our Authors

Content is published under editorial bylines that know bonus mechanics, responsible-gambling requirements, payment rules and casino terms. Some author names may be editorial pen names; the same editorial standards, sourcing and update policy apply to all content regardless of byline.

What We Do Not Do

As a review site, we have no access to player accounts, deposits, KYC files, bonus balances, withdrawals; only the operator can help with those.

Things we do not do:

If you believe a review contains outdated or misleading information about a brand, contact our editorial team via our Contact page.

Your Privacy & Our Contact Form

Never submit digital-wallet keys, full payment-card details, ID documents, casino passwords or the like through our contact form; nothing we do requires them.
